The 2026 NC Supreme Court re-election of Justice Anita Earls will be crucial to whether Democrats retake the court in 2028, and whether gerrymandering is then outlawed, voting rights upheld, public schools funded, the power of the governor upheld.
Justice Earls will join us. She has been a crusading civil rights attorney, an official of the Civil Rights Division of the (Clinton) Justice Department and founder of the Southern Coalition for Civil Justice. She was elected in 2018 and is up for eight year re-election in 2026.
