1. Join Our Special Investigators Research Team

“What Democrats need to do is hold a bunch of election war games this summer … to show, here’s the phone calls [Trump’s] gonna make, here’s the county clerks he’s gonna bully, here’s the votes he’s gonna try to find, here’s why he’s lying ….” Massachusetts Rep. Jake Auchincloss in the Daily Beast.

What: Democrats need OUR HELP! Our group conducts investigative research to support our partners monitoring local election officials (LEOs) who might be in need of protection from anti-democratic forces. We also focus on identifying officials who may question, challenge, or disrupt established election processes.

We welcome volunteers who enjoy in-depth research, are comfortable working with shared spreadsheets, have solid computer skills and active social media accounts (particularly Facebook), and can devote at least three hours per week to the project.

We are currently recruiting both experienced and new researchers for a major multi-state project. Through this initiative, our research team will research, review, and analyze publicly available information on LEOs in critical congressional districts across multiple states.

When: Ongoing through at least June 2026.

How: Go to the #leo-si-public Slack channel and post a message saying you want to join the Congressional Districts project. No experience is needed, but please let us know if you have done LEO-SI research before. We will contact you to get you started. For questions, DM @Amy Roy in Slack.

2. Join the Michigan White Glove Ballot Cure Team- Through May 8

What: We’re building a White Glove Cure Desk operation for the Michigan 35th Senate District special election on May 5, 2026. Volunteers will provide white-glove support to voters whose mail-in or absentee ballots have been flagged for fixable issues (like a missing signature) that would otherwise cause their vote to be rejected. You will work cases escalated from canvassers in the field and voters who call into a hotline, helping ensure no curable ballot gets left behind. The work we do here also will be scaled up for the November midterms.

We are looking for volunteers who are detail-oriented, comfortable working with shared tracking spreadsheets, and able to commit a few hours per week. No prior experience required, and training will be provided.

3. Join Us for a "Get to Know VoPro Pros" Get Together

Would you like to know more about the work VoPro Pros does and how to get involved? Join us for a lively, informal, one-hour “Get to Know VoPro Pros” hosted by VPP leaders. These Zoom sessions are intended for:

potential members you invite as guests
new members who want help getting started with our group and finding the best-fit projects
members who want to re-engage
VPP veterans who want to check in, catch up, or just enjoy VPP camaraderie
