Call SLEB Members to Recruit Volunteers for Upcoming Actions

With the Election Rigging Response Act (Prop 50) being voted on this November, crucial elections also happening this year in Virginia, and the 2026 midterms just around the corner, there is plenty to do to help protect our democracy.

At Swing Left East Bay, we’ve got a lot of members, but many of them miss our emails and we need to reach them to get them engaged. Swing Left has a simple tool we’ll be using to call and text our members to invite them to volunteer. You’ll be calling people who are already on board with the cause and so these will be the easiest phone calls you’ll ever make!

Each phone bank will include a brief training for new attendees. After being trained, you can make calls on your own time as well as join our group phone banks. If you can’t make a regularly scheduled phone bank but want to make calls on your own, please sign up and contact swinglefteastbay@gmail.com to arrange to get trained.

A few things to keep in mind when you attend this phone bank:

• Don’t worry if you’ve never done something like this before. We’ll provide a phone script and a list of voters to call.
• You’ll need a smart phone and a laptop computer or tablet to make calls.
