Susie Lee is the Democratic incumbent Congresswoman running for re-election to represent Nevada's 3rd Congressional District — a Las Vegas-area swing seat that could help determine control of the U.S. House of Representatives. First elected in 2018, Lee has won four consecutive elections in a district where Donald Trump carried the presidential vote in 2024, most recently winning re-election by nearly 3 percentage points despite Trump's narrow win in the district. She won her 2026 Democratic primary comfortably, raising $3.9 million and heading into the general election with over $3.3 million on hand — a significant financial advantage. She has been recognized as one of the top 10 most bipartisan Members of Congress out of over 400 members nationwide, and serves as the House Democratic Caucus' Battleground Leadership Representative, a position she created in 2022 to give members representing the most competitive districts a seat at the leadership table.

Lee was born and raised in a working-class family in Canton, Ohio, where her father — a military veteran — worked at a steel plant and her mother stayed home to care for eight children. She worked her way through Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh on a combination of scholarships, loans, and part-time jobs, earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees in public policy and management. After graduating, she moved to Las Vegas in 1993, where she became Founding Director of After-School All-Stars, an after-school program now serving over 7,000 students every day, and went on to serve as President of Communities In Schools of Nevada — a leading dropout prevention organization — growing it to serve over 64,000 students in 63 Nevada schools.

In Congress, Lee has built a record of delivering tangible results for southern Nevada families. She passed the bipartisan TREAT Youth Act, signed into law in 2025, to fund programs supporting young people at risk of addiction and overdose. She championed legislation to support veterans exposed to radiation and toxic materials from nuclear testing in Nevada, and has fought to secure federal investments in housing, water infrastructure, and clean energy for her district. She serves on the House Veterans' Affairs Committee and has been a consistent advocate for reproductive rights, affordable health care, and public education. Nevada's 3rd District — which includes Henderson, Boulder City, and much of unincorporated Clark County south of Las Vegas — is among the most competitive battleground seats in the country, and Lee is determined to hold it for Nevada's working families.

  • Lee is fighting to:
  • Lower prescription drug costs — she helped pass the most significant legislation to bring down drug prices in decades, and will keep fighting to cap out-of-pocket costs for seniors and families
  • Protect and expand access to affordable health care, including community health centers providing behavioral health and substance use disorder services
  • Defend reproductive rights and support legislation to codify the right to choose at the federal level
  • Fund public education and expand after-school programs so every Nevada child has a fair shot
  • Fight for Nevada's veterans — including expanding VA benefits for veterans exposed to radiation and toxic materials at the Nevada Test and Training Range, and providing tax incentives for businesses that hire student veterans
  • Invest in affordable housing by securing federal funding to build and revitalize homes across southern Nevada
  • Expand clean energy and solar infrastructure so Nevadans have access to cheaper, cleaner electricity
  • Protect Nevada's water supply through smart water resource development and investments in drought resilience
  • Exempt tips from federal income tax to support Nevada's hardworking hospitality and service workers
  • Fight for working-class Nevadans with practical, bipartisan solutions that rise above partisan gridlock
  • A bipartisan problem solver with deep roots in Nevada's communities, Susie Lee has spent her career fighting for the people her district — not party leadership or special interests. In Congress, she combines a practical, results-focused approach with an unwavering commitment to protecting the rights and improving the lives of southern Nevada's working families.
