Now that we are more than halfway through the primary season, one thing has become evident. GOP voters have been more than willing to support candidates that back the Big Lie.
Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight has tracked the views of every Republican candidate for Senate, House, governor, attorney general and secretary of state regarding the legitimacy of the 2020 election. They found: 120 are full-blown election-deniers; 48 say they have doubts. “In total, almost half of the GOP’s nominees for these offices have at least dabbled in false election claims,” the article states.
All the more reason that Democrats need to win in the 2022 midterms. Our democratic institutions depend on it.
