Join us every Wednesday from 3 PM to 5 PM Pacific time and call for a variety of races:
1) Virginia has their House of Delegates and State Senate races in the ODD years. We hope to gain back the majority in the House of Delegates that we held for 2 election cycles (2017 and 2019) and then lost in 2021. We need to flip 3 seats to take back control. We are making calls with the Center for Common Ground, a non-partisan organization that works to turn out the vote among black and brown voters.
2) We are phoning Ohio to VOTE YES on Issue 1! Issue 1 will codify abortion rights in the Ohio State Constitution and make permanent a woman’s right to choose. Ohio has an extreme abortion ban, and this constitutional amendment will protect women far into the future. Let’s help Ohio women, men, and families and pass this amendment!
You will join other VOLUNTEERS on Zoom and go to a breakout room, either to receive training or to start making calls. Technical support will be available. Throughout our Phone Banks, you’re invited to meet your fellow phone bankers, share success stories, and provide us feedback.
For most of our Phone Banks, we will be using the semi-automated dialer PDI, or incredibly powerful auto-dialer, Scale to Win! Both systems dial numbers for you through your computer; the voter sees a number with a local area code (not your phone number). Information on how to use PDI and Scale to Win will be included in our Confirmation email.
2) We will be calling for the ballot initiative in November to codify a woman’s right to choose in the State Constitution.
