Dave Min
California, Congress (CA-47)
Dave Min has served in the California State Senate since 2020 and is now seeking to represent California congressional district 47. The Coastal Orange County district is one of the most competitive districts in the country. CA-47 is currently held by Cong. Katie Porter, who had endorsed Min’s candidacy prior to the March 5 primary.
Min earned a B.S. in economics and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School in 1999 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2002.
A first-generation Korean-American, Min returned to California to teach business law at the University of California Irvine School of Law. He worked as an enforcement attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission, economic and financial policy advisor to U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer, and economic policy director at the Center for American Progress.
