Arabic Language Voter Assistance Hotline & Ballot Cure Training

Assisting voters and ensuring every voter is able to exercise their right to vote is vital for the preservation of our democracy. Arabic is the most commonly spoken second language in Michigan, but Arabic speakers have only recently been able to obtain voting materials in their native language. We need volunteers available to help these often marginalized voters in Arabic.

Help us make sure every Arabic speaking Michigan voter is able to cast their ballot and that every vote counts!

In this training, you will learn about major threats to Michigan voting, get a brief overview of MI voting laws, and learn how we record, track, and escalate voting issues ahead of Election Day. We’ll also go over reasons for ballot rejection, how we identify voters with ballot rejections, and how to walk a voter through curing their ballots by election day.
