Healthcare Leaders for Democracy fundraiser with Dr. Atul Gawande

Atul Gawande, MD, MPH, is a renowned surgeon, author, and public health visionary. He recently served as the Assistant Administrator for Global Health at USAID; was previously a practicing general and endocrine surgeon at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a professor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr Gawande is also a longtime writer for the New Yorker magazine and has written four New York Times best-selling books. 

Joining Dr. Gawande will be Don Berwick, MD, Former Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and Former President/CEO of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and John E. McDonough, DRPH, MPA, Professor of Public Health Practice, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and former Executive Director, Healthcare for All. Both are enthusiastic supporters of MVP and Healthcare Leaders for Democracy. 

Movement Voter PAC is a national progressive organization that raises and directs funding to the most effective grassroots groups in key districts and swing states. These grassroots groups build power in their communities and help to get out the vote so we can elect effective leaders on the local, state and national level.
