n One Hour You will be a Swiper with Volunteer Blue! When someone we know speaks, we trust what they are saying. Simple, but true. This idea was used as an effective tactic that proved highly effective in President Obama’s two campaigns. With the rather high-flown name of “relational organizing,” it’s contacting those we know to inform or prompt them to action. Volunteer Blue is using that same premise, but taking it up a notch – using it to reach our friends and family and encourage them to become volunteers and take action. Now there’s an uncomplicated way to reach out to help spread the word about the importance of the upcoming election and to recruit volunteers. Swipe Blue is a simple tool that has helped people organize friends and family members and turn them out to vote. Volunteer Blue is using Swipe Blue to encourage more people to become involved in volunteering. With all signs indicating close presidential, senate, and house elections, we need to recruit an army of volunteers. We need your help. And it’s easy. With the Swipe Blue app on your smartphone, you can reach out to others to get them to become one of the volunteers who will affect the outcome of the election. We will show it to you in this training session.
