Californians are going to start voting in two weeks!
That’s right; we call it a March 5th primary, but with ballots dropping in early February, it’s not an Election Day so much as an Election Month.
That’s why we’ve launched Get Out the Vote postcards in three of the most important House districts: CA-22, CA-27, and CA-41. These districts are home to three of the most vulnerable House Republicans in the country, Rep. David Valadao, Rep. Mike Garcia, and Rep. Ken Calvert.
If the Democrats in these races finish strong in the primary, that unlocks national resources for them to compete and win, and we know that when people vote in primary elections, they’re much more likely to vote in general elections.
Without a competitive Democratic presidential primary and with Trump on the ballot for Republicans, there are fears that Democratic turnout is going to be low this March. That’s precisely the kind of environment where volunteers reaching voters can have the greatest impact with a gentle nudge.
Please mail postcards starting on February 1 and by February 21 at the latest.
