Carolyn Bourdeaux for GA 07 House District
Holding GA 07 House seat held by Carolyn Bourdeaux
Carolyn Bourdeaux was the only Democrat running for the House of Representatives in 2020 who flipped a Republican seat, helping to ensure a narrow majority for the incoming Joe Biden administration. Bourdeaux has emerged as a strong advocate for affordable health care, an economic recovery that puts workers and small businesses first, and investing in education and transportation infrastructure. The freshman Congresswoman earned a B.A. in history and economics from Yale University, an M.P.A. from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. in public administration from Syracuse University. Bourdeaux faces a tough battle in 2022. Georgia Republicans redrew Georgia 06 so it is significantly less competitive. This prompted Rep. Lucy McBath (GA 06) to file to compete in Georgia 07 against Bourdeaux.
