Chris Pappas for NH 01 House District

Holding NH 1 House seat held by Chris Pappas

New Hampshire’s largest newspaper, The Union Leader, has declared Pappas is vulnerable in the upcoming Midterm election. The conservative daily claimed that the district was ripe for a flip because it had flipped so often. The fact is that Pappas won an open seat in 2018 after and incumbent Democratic Congresswoman retired. Pappas won reelection in 2020 by 6 points. Pappas serves on the House Veterans’ Affairs and Transportation and Infrastructure committees. He has earned a 100% rating from the Human Rights Campaign and the Planned Parenthood Action fund as well as a 97% rating from the League of Conservation Voters. Pappas is the only openly gay US House member elected to serve New Hampshire.
