Face-to-face with voters pays big electoral dividends. Door-to-door canvassing gives you an opportunity to make a substantial impact. No other activity beats canvassing, which involves listening, making a connection, to help others see the importance of supporting a candidate or getting out to vote. Our canvassing opportunities, in most cases, necessitate getting yourself to the district/state of the race. It can be a bit more time consuming and involved than other types of electoral work, but also can be more rewarding. Join the Swing Blue Alliance, Swing Left and MAFlipPA as we win Pennsylvania’s Seventh Congressional district this fall with “knock every door, listen to every voter” canvasses now through October.
Rather than preaching at voters, we ask open-ended questions such as “Do you think the country is going in the right direction?” and listen at length for not just what voters tell us, but the all-important emotions that drive their voting choices.
Swing Left will use AI to analyze the results of these conversations, which include your subjective impressions of each voter (“He still likes Trump but kept coming back to the corruption issue”). Swing Left will share this data with Democratic parties and campaigns up and down the ballot to guide our messaging this fall.
