Force Multiplier formed after the 2016 elections, when activist groups in eastern Massachusetts decided the best way to check Republican power was to Flip the U.S. House of Representatives. We chose to support Democrats who were challenging incumbent Republicans in Congressional districts considered toss ups by election analysts. We saw this as a way to empower Blue State citizens and to help them have a national impact in a time of crisis.

In 2019, we plan to lay the groundwork for victories in the 2020 House, Senate and Presidential elections by focusing on High Impact States. These are states where we think there will be a confluence of competitive races at these three levels. To that end, we will be selecting candidates at the House and Senate level and supporting grassroots groups that are registering voters and challenging voter suppression.
